Observations all along the line - Kimball & the Southern Panhandle First
The Lady Longhorns, headed across the border to Wyoming to face off with Burns this last week.
Kimball came up short with a 3-1 loss . The Lady Horns won the first set 25-20, then Burns got the next three set wins to end the match, 17-25, 16-25, 23-25.
"We started out playing strong, winning the first set. It was a tough game, every set was very close, and if we could have eliminated an error here or there the night might have ended different. I am proud how the girls played through some adversity," said Coach Jeri Ferguson.
Hannah Biesecker had 12 kills, four points, one ace serve, eight digs, and one block. Justine Heeg added three kills, 15 assists, 11 points, and two ace serves. Kate Reader with eight kills, three points, two blocks, and two digs. Maddison Wynne added four assists and two points, and Carli Wurdeman with three assists, one point and one dig. Jenna Greenwood had five kills, four points, two digs, Sydney Bieseker had seven digs and one assist, and Sheridan Magninie had nine points and one ace serve.
Kimball faces Morrill today, Thursday, Oct. 5, with games starting at 4 p.m.
