Observations all along the line - Kimball & the Southern Panhandle First
Same things over and over again, for the Kimball Longhorns, Friday night under the lights, Bayard handed the Longhorns another loss on the season at home this past Friday.
Once again Kimball was out scored 15-0 in the first period, "We cant keep giving teams easy points to start the game and then try to compete to stay into the game," said Coach Aarestad. Kimball was able to hold Bayard to one touchdown in the second with the Longhorns being able to put one up on the board to make it 22-7 at the half.
Bayard was able to sneak in another score during the third quarter and held the home team to another pointless period of play. Both teams put up another six points in the fourth quarter giving the visiting team the W in the end with a score of 35-13.
This is a building year, Coach has said it before and he will say it again, "we do get better every week which will help as we get ready for next season."
Last Friday was also Senior Night for the Horns five seniors, Kole Bush, Andrew McCloud, Jaden Mohr, Bryon Rowley, and Paycen Harroun.
Longhorn action is at home tomorrow, Friday, Oct. 13, when your horns take on St. Pats for the last home game of the season. Kick off is at 6 p.m.
Good luck to the Horns and best wishes to the seniors!
