Observations all along the line - Kimball & the Southern Panhandle First
The Coyotes got their first win of the season againts Leyton last Tuesday Dec. 12 and according to coach Ryan Mumm that was the best game they have played to date this season.
“Dylan Nielsen and Connor Williams both had nice games scoring 14 points each,” Terell Gray had his best game so far scoring seven points and grabbing 13 rebounds.
Potter-Dix got the 38-33 win, and coach saw a few things he was very happy with. “The team executed on offense well, they saw things as they developed. They did a good job taking care of ball. Defensively we did a fairly good job limiting their second chance opportunities, particularly in the second half,” he said.
Just a couple days later the Coyotes struggled to find rhythm on Friday with Caliche.
“Caliche got out to a fast start and never looked back,” said coach Mumm. The Buffaloes did a great job of forcing tournovers and converted those into points.
Caliche ran away with that game 66-9.
Next up for the Coyotes is a home game with Bayard after the holiday break coming back ready for another win on Friday, Jan. 5.
