Barbara J Henzl, long time area resident passed away peacefully at Kimball County Manor in Kimball Nebraska on January 4th, 2018.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday January 9th, 2018 at Gehrig-Stitt Chapel in Sidney, NE with Pastor Dennis Payton officiating. Friends may stop at the Gehrig-Stitt Chapel on Monday January 8th from 1:00 PM to 7:00 P.M. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Memorials can be made in care of the family for future designation.

Barb was born in Grand Island, NE to Elmer and Caroline (Horstman) Baasch on February 11th, 1933. She was raised and attended school in Grand Island. She was married to Donald Kershaw in July 1954. That marriage was blessed with 7 children: Debra, Lianne, Patrick, Cheryl, Kelly, Jamie and Mike. She worked at several Sidney area businesses including the Lodgepole grocery store and Cabela's retail. She married Kenneth Henzl of Lodgepole in December 1981, where they farmed and ranched for several years.
Survivors include two sons: Patrick Kershaw and wife Janet of Sidney NE, Mike Kershaw and wife Stevie Huson of Omaha NE, Three daughters: Debra Kershaw of Martel NE, Kelly and husband Ted Durbin of Bushnell NE, Jamie and husband Tim Hajny of Fairfield NE, one brother, Charles Baasch and wife Janice of Cedar Falls, IA, one sister, Carol Sue Ingold and husband Paul of Ashton, NE, 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and numerous other extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ken, two daughters and 3 infant grandchildren.
