Observations all along the line - Kimball & the Southern Panhandle First
The boys out of Potter-Dix split the weekend with a loss at home to Bayard, but a win on the road against South Platte last weekend.
The Coyotes were out-scored in the game with the Tigers 66-20, being down 42-10 at the end of first half action.
With not much scoring from the Coyotes this game, it was senior Dylan Nelsen who led the books with eight points, followed by Grant Hickman with six and Terell Gray, Connor Williams and Gage Soucie adding two points.
The next day and a bus ride to Big Springs to face-off with South Platte, the Coyotes scorebook looked as if it was a different team, leading the game 17-11 at the end of first period play, the Coyotes were able to put another 15 points up on the board before half- time but not with out South Platte putting up their own 14 points for a first half score of 32-25 Coyotes.
Second half, both teams put up 13 points and the fourth quarter Potter-Dix held South Platte to just four points while scoring 11 to finish the game 56-42 for the Coyotes second win on the season.
The Coyotes hosted Kimball Tuesday, Jan 9. No information was available.
Next Potter-Dix will travel to Dalton to face Leyton in the Rivalry Game tomorrow, Friday Jan. 12.
