Randy L. Muhr, 68, of Kimball, died at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff on Wednesday, February 14, 2018. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at the Cantrell Funeral Home in Kimball with Pastor Rick Parker officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date. Friends may stop at the funeral home on Friday, February 23, 2018 to sign Randy's register book and leave condolences for the family. Friends may visit http://www.cantrellfh.com to view the obituary and leave messages of sympathy for the family. Memorials may be given to the Pine Bluffs 4-H Shooting Club. The services for Randy have been entrusted to the Cantrell Funeral Home.
Randy Lee Muhr was born in Dalton, Nebraska on February 6, 1950, the son of Donald and Verna (Stivers) Muhr. He grew up on the family farm in eastern Banner County. After tech school he moved to Kimball and worked for the City of Kimball Power Plant for over 30 years, eventually becoming the superintendent. Randy enjoyed working with the 4-H Shooting Club in Pine Bluffs, Wyoming.
Survivors include his sisters Sheri Roberds of Kimball, NE and Anne Muhr of Bayard, NE; sister-in-law Brenda Muhr-LaBounty of Mitchell, NE; nephews Michael Roberds and Jason Muhr; nieces Jennene Washburn, Shannon Hicken, Billie Huey, Beth Muhr and Julie Ohnesorg. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Bob Muhr and brother-in-law Elwin Roberds.
