Longtime FFA Advisor, Dan Acheson and his wife, Sherri, enjoy the annual FFA Banquet and Labor Auction. The banquet was held on Friday, March 9, at the Kimball High School. Hundreds were in attendance for the night, which included a silent auction of items donated from area businesses and citizens. Pies made by local metal fabricator, Steve Pinkerton, were auctioned at more than $100 each, adding to the coffers of the local FFA organization and its alumni - the oldest in the state. FFA students also auctioned their time. The Kimball FFA Alumni has hosted this event for decades and it is one of their largest fund raising activities. The funds raised support their various activities, such as the District contest recently hosted in Kimball, as well as, supporting local students in the organization.
