Observations all along the line - Kimball & the Southern Panhandle First
MaKenna Dahlgrin was a double gold medal winner for the Banner County High Girls at the Bayard C-D Track Invite this past week and her 20 points placed the Lady Wildcats in 12th place in the team standings of the field of 18 schools. Dahlgrin showed she was the best in the weight events, winning the discus by almost 16 feet with her winning throw of 112’0”. In the shot put, her winning heave was 36’4”.
Coach Kari Gifford also got a very good performance from sophomore Deven Sullivan in the boy’s division, as the talented distance ace ran 2nd in the 3200 meter run with a time of 11:31.38, and ran 5th in the 1600 with his time of 5:12.28 to account for all of the scoring for the Wildcat boys at 10 points, to give the Cats a 13th team finish from the 18 schools. Seth Dvorak ran a 67.32 time in the 400 meters.
