Anthony Frederick "Tony" Day, 65, passed away April 5, 2018 in Billings, Mont., from complications of Alzheimers.
Born July 26, 1952, in Kimball, Neb., he was one of four children of Richard and Nellie (Hoke) Day. After graduating high school in Grover, Colo., he worked in the oilfield industry and was involved in the family farm in Bushnell, Ne. He then spent a short time in Belen, N.M. In the motel business. In 1981 he moved to Thermopolis, Wyo.
Tony married Penny Koester April 2, 1985 in Thermopolis. For 36 years the couple owned and operated their farm and irrigation business. He also managed the Lucerne Water District for 25 years.
He enjoyed fishing, camping, rock hounding, antique collecting and adventuring with his sons.
He is survived by his wife, Penny, of Thermopolis; sons, Michael of Casper and Adam of Thermopolis; sister, Ramona Libsack of Pierce, Colo .; and two grandchildren
Tony was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Michael; and sister, Pamela.
Memorial services were held Friday, April 13 at Mortimer Funeral Home with Mike Baker officiating.
