Observations all along the line - Kimball & the Southern Panhandle First
Jump Start to the School Year, is now underway at Kimball Public Schools. The summer school session started Monday, July, 23 for students enrolled in Kindergarten through eighth grade.
“We moved summer school until later this year for more of a jump start into the school year,” said Jamie Soper, Kimball Public School’s Director of Special Services. “We do send out recommendations at the end of the school year to some parents, but this is open to all students.”
Focused on math and reading, this two-week kickstart can help students get back in the swing of things before the school year begins.
Students enrolled in Kindergarten through fifth grade will be at Mary Lynch while sixth through eighth grade students will be at the Junior/Senior High. Class runs from 8-11:30, Monday-Friday, including free breakfast and lunch. This summer school program will conclude August 3.
Anyone still interested in signing up, call Soper at the Superintendent’s Office at 235-2188 for more information.
