Observations all along the line - Kimball & the Southern Panhandle First
New to Potter-Dix but not new to coaching, a 20 year veteran Cory Michelman is the Lady Coyotes new volleyball coach this year, sitting court side this season for the Lady Coyotes is also Assistant Coach Nancy Bunner.
After graduating three "big hitter" young ladies, Payge Hoffman, a middle hitter, Trinity Langley, a middle hitter, and Audrey Juelfs, an outside hitter, coach Michelman will need the six returning starters and letter winners, to step up big time this season.
The six returning are CC George, Hannah Stahl, Brooke Moench, Erica Bogert, Virginia Herboldschimer and Kelsey Hoffman.
The Lady Coyotes are looking to get back to the Conference Championship yet again this season finishing runners-up last season.
A 23-10 overall record the Lady Coyotes are looking to improve on hitting attacks, Michelman's hopes for the coming season for offense is balance and teamwork, and on defense Michelman is focusing on hustle.
"Lack of experience as a group will be a challenge for us this season." But with the two important strengths coming into this season, enthusiasm and work effort, and the leadership from the returning girls, Michelman is heading into the season with an open mind.
