Deloris M. Constable, 85, of Pine Bluffs, Wyo., passed away Friday morning, Sept. 14, 2018 at the Davis Hospice Center in Cheyenne.
Deloris was born Dec.22, 1932 in Ft. Morgan, Colorado, a daughter of the late Ernest J. and Meta A. (Thiemann) Harms.
Deloris loved caring for her family and her home while also serving as a faithful pastor's wife to her husband, Claude H. Constable. She loved music and she played the organ for nearly every church Claude served as pastor. She served with her husband in South Dakota, Nebraska and Kansas and returned to Pine Bluffs in 1999 where they continued to serve together in the Pine Bluffs area. She was an active member of the Grace English Lutheran Church in Pine Bluffs and also the LWML. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, and she will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Deloris is survived by her loving husband, Claude H. Constable; children, Sandy L. (Steve) Rempel and Howard D. Constable; two brothers, Orvil (Mae) Harms and Leonard (Janyce) Harms; sisters-in-law, Vernetta Woodman, Alice Swaim and Betty (Ned) Stroup; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her sisters Norma Kranz and Lorene Christensen.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, Sept. 16, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home in Cheyenne. The funeral service will be conducted on Monday, September 17th at 10:00 a.m. at the Grace English Lutheran Church in Pine Bluffs. An interment service will follow at the Pine Bluffs Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Grace English Lutheran Church, Pine Bluffs or Zion Lutheran Church, Grover, Colorado, or a charity of choice.
