Observations all along the line - Kimball & the Southern Panhandle First
The Potter-Dix Lady Coyotes have had a couple of rough weeks since the end of September and their trials had them hoping to pick up some wins and a little bit of momentum.
They seemed headed in the right direction with their Oct. 12 win, 3-0, against Minatare, but the next day brought back-to-back losses against South Platte and Leyton.
Their loss to the Leyton Warriors was in the first round of MAC tournament play.
The Lady Coyotes lost to Leyton in three sets, though Potter-Dix got the first win 25-19 and followed up with losses in the next two matches 12-25 and 17-25.
“With the schedule being so demanding, practice time has been hard to come by, but the team was glad to get three days of practice in a row last week,” said coach Cory Michelman.
Potter-Dix faced off with Leyton again on Tuesday, information was not available at time of press.
The Lady Coyotes will take on Hyannis and Creek Valley next Tuesday, Oct. 23, at home, then will travel to Morrill, next Thursday.
