Observations all along the line - Kimball & the Southern Panhandle First
Potter-Dix faced off with the Minatare Indians in a conference match-up at home last Friday, Oct. 12.
The Indians were able to hold the Coyotes scoreless until the fourth quarter of the game, while the Indians continued building their own points.
The Minatare team out scored the Coyotes 74-0 at the end of the first half, 38 of those points coming from first quarter play, then adding another 36 to the board in the second.
A slow third quarter for the Indians left Minatare only increasing their lead by eight points in the period, but again keeping Potter-Dix scoreless.
In the fourth period the Coyotes were able to put 16 points, yet allowed the Indians to add 16 for themselves, ending the game 98-16 Minatare.
Freshman Jared Anton carried the ball eight times for a total of 67 yards, and sophomore Donald Moench was next in the rushing yards category with eight carries and 27 yards.
The Coyotes will be looking to put an end to their four game losing streak when they head to Arthur to take on the 3-4 Arthur County Wolves tomorrow night, Friday, Oct. 19 with kickoff at 7 p.m.
