Gwendolyn C. Uglow, 80, of Kimball, died at Kimball County Manor on Wednesday, October 24, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at the Calvary United Methodist Church in Bushnell with Pastor Roger Gillming officiating. Burial will be held at the Kimball Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, October 29th from 1:00 until 6:00 p.m. Friends can also visit http://www.cantrellfh.com to view Gwen's Tribute Wall and leave condolences and stories for the family. Memorials have been established to either the Calvary United Methodist Church of Bushnell, Nebraska or the Faternal Order of Eagles #3889 in Kimball, Nebraska. The services for Gwen have been entrusted to the Cantrell Funeral Home.

Gwendolyn Carol Montgomery was born in Lincoln, Nebraska on April 8, 1938, the daughter of Ernest "Slim" and Helen (Eisele) Montgomery. She was raised and attended school in Bushnell, Nebraska. She lived in Lincoln for a short time and then moved to Kimball County where she resided until her death. She was married to Hugh Uglow at Calvary United Methodist Church in Bushnell, Nebraska on February 5, 1956. They lived in Bushnell 42 years before moving to Kimball, Nebraska. Gwen worked at Kimball County Co-op, KIMB Radio Station, KN Energy, Inc. and American National Bank before retiring. After retirement she spent a great deal of her free time at the Eagle's Lodge serving the community of Kimball County. Gwen was an active member of Epsilon Sigma Alpha (ESA) sorority and belonged to the Kimball Chapter, Beta Omega, for over 60 years. She was also active in Firebelle's, Eagle's Lodge, Church Council and the Bushnell School Board. She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, and arts and crafts. She loved spending time with her family and was an avid supporter of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include her children Dennis (Julia) Uglow of Lake Havasu City, AZ., Roger (Linda) Uglow of Kimball, NE., and Yulonda (Philip) Braband of Greeley, CO; 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Hugh Uglow, her parents, brother Richard; sister Lois David.
