Virginia L. (Finley) Moeller

Virginia Leigh (Finley) Moeller, 88, formerly of Ft. Collins, CO, passed away at Emerald Court Assisted Living in Scottsbluff, NE, on October 27, 2018.  At her request, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation.

Born on August 1, 1930, in St. Louis, MO, to Theodore and Dorothy Virginia (Bamber) Finley, "Ginny" traveled a lot in her life – first as the daughter of an Army doctor and later as the wife of Richard Moeller, a National Park Service Ranger, whom she met and married while attending Colorado State University in Ft. Collins, Colorado.

Ginny loved the outdoors – especially hiking and camping in the mountains – and was an avid swimmer. A very caring and creative person, she took up many hobbies, including drawing, painting, basket weaving, clay figurines, and stained glass. She passed this creative knack on to her children and grandchildren, who often joined her at the table while she worked on her latest project. Spending time with family was her greatest joy.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard; brother, Robert; sister, Hazel Bunch; son, Matthew; and granddaughter, Jennifer Perks.

She is survived by her daughter, Karin  (John) Jones of Harrisburg, NE; son, Michael (Renee Murray) Moeller, of Charleston, SC; daughter-in-law Donna Whaley of Sevierville, TN; grandsons Brady Jones and Shaun (Cara Erskine) Jones; granddaughters Alyson, Ashley, Emily, and Madison Moeller; great-granddaughter Aubree Jones; grandson-in-law Thomas Perks; nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

A family celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to Emerald Court or to the family. Online condolences may be left atwww.dugankramer.com.  Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel is assisting the family.
