Observations all along the line - Kimball & the Southern Panhandle First
Members of the Kimball community joined the State of Nebraska’s Department of Economic Development business attraction and development team this past week, Wednesday Nov. 7 to learn from economic development leaders who are creating new opportunities for economic growth.
Amy Sapp, City of Kimball’s Special Project Coordinator, hosted Joe Fox, Director of Business Development; Jason Guernsey, Business Attraction Manager; Jacob Knutson, Business Attraction; Rose Baker, SBDF, CJT, and InternNE Program Director and Job Training Coordinator, and Brittany Hardin, Western Nebraska Business Development Consultant/Field Service Representative for a “FAM” tour.
According to Sapp a “FAM” tour is a way of familiarizing individuals of what Kimball has to offer.
“We met for lunch at the Windbreak before going on a tour of the community. Guests saw numerous properties that are available for sale as well as several of the quality of life projects that have happened over the past few years in the Kimball community,” Sapp said.
Members of the community present for lunch included; Tom Carr, Carr Spirits, Stephanie and Ryan McElroy, George Risk Industries, Dan Chesley, LB Foster, Bob Abramson, E&H Accountants and Dan Dean, City Administrator.
