Observations all along the line - Kimball & the Southern Panhandle First
Two local establishments with the help of the Kimball community are heading up a summer filled will pool tournaments to benefit local residents.
Beer and Loathing and Chute No. 7 present the “2019 Take the Buckin” pool tournament -- a series of four individual tournaments from April to July.
Kimball can expect to see one tournament each month for four months this summer.
The first tournament will be held April 27 and 28 for Cindy Warren who was diagnosed with cancer monies raised will go towards help with medical bills and cost resulting of her treatment.
The Jon Howton 2nd Annual Memorial tournament will be held May 25 and 26 with proceeds to benefit Oliver Reservoir.
June 28 and 29 a tournament will be held for Roger Wynne who suffered a heart attack early this spring with proceeds towards his medical bills and other unexpected costs.
The final tournament of the summer will be held July 27 and 28 to benefit Sandy and Randy Harmon to help with costs after losing their home to a fire this past February.
The two establishments are increasing the pot with $400 added money (matching the first 20 entries).
According to Heather Entingh owner of Beer and Loathing, each tournament will have different forms of fundraising from 50/50 raffles to dinner as well as the tournament funds raised.
