Observations all along the line - Kimball & the Southern Panhandle First
Kimball native Kaitlin Knaub received an elementary teaching contract at the Kimball School Board meeting on June 10. Kaitlin will be teaching 5th and 6th grade reading and is thrilled to be starting her first teaching job.
"I am very excited to get in the classroom and interact with students," she said.
Kaitlin has a K-12 Special Education endorsement.
"I've been with my two young kids for the last three and a half years so I am ready to build relationships with other children!" She continued, "Plus, the staff at Kimball is amazing and there is definitely a reason I chose to come back and teach in my hometown! I want to be able to help them learn the importance of learning and education. They need to know that you will never stop learning and that will simply help them grow as an individuals."
Kaitlin graduated from Kimball High School in 2011, as Kaitlin Mortiz, and began her educational career at Concordia University in Seward then transferred to WNCC. After completing her student teaching at Gering High School and Geil Elementary she graduated from Chadron State College in 2015. Kaitlin then did some substitute teaching.
Kaitlin is married to Jordan Knaub and has two children, Colbie and Camden. She lives in Banner County.
