Kimball Hospital Foundation Classic Next Up On Golf Scene

Another great turnout for a golf happening at the Four Winds Golf Course this past Saturday evening.

After being cancelled due to bad weather a week or so back, the Masonic Lodge Cross Country/Glow Ball four-person scramble was held Saturday even though there was once again a threat of bad weather, which didn’t happen.

A total of 14 teams participated and the winning team of Dillon Wise, Jacob Walker, Gavin Howell and Nate Dvorak shot the winning round of 64.

Finishing second was the team of Darin Lonsdale, Leia Evens, and Tiffany and Mark Anderson with 67.

The third place team was Trust Crossman, Rick Kizire, Andrew McCloud and Jay Paxton shooting 73.

The layout was all-new to all golfers as they played the first nine holes in true cross country style. Then they enjoyed a delicious dinner with Dave Klinkhammer on site with his traveling barbecue wagon.

Then the last nine holes were played in the dark with glowing balls.

Fun was had, I guess, by all involved.

Here’s another reminder of the 28th annual Kimball Hospital Foundation scramble coming up Aug. 3 at the Four Winds.

It also is a four-person format with a cost of $80 per person, which gets you golf, a custom foundation golf classic polo shirt, lunch before the start and a buffet dinner at the end. Plus there’s a putting contest for cash, and lots of raffles and flag prizes.

Call the Four Winds pro shop or chairman Kerry Ferguson for any more info and to get signed up.

Lunch and registration are at 11 a.m. The shotgun start is at 12 noon.
