Weeks 4, 5, 6 and 7 of the Women's Golf Association League are in the books at Four Winds Golf Course with one week of regular play to go this summer
Pattie Klinginsmith has been low-scoring and consistent much of the season. That proved true when she nabbed low gross for weeks 4 and 5 with an outstanding score of 43 each week.
Klinginsmith also nailed low net for Week 4 with a 35, while Judy Daum showed her skills with a low net of 35 in Week 5.
Daria Faden had low gross in Week 6 with a 47 and Shirley Crossman took home low net with a 31.
The putters were working all three weeks for a number of players.
Both Shellon Anderson and Faden had low putt totals of 15 for Week 4.
In Week 5, Shellon and Judy Daum tied with 15 putts each. In week 6, Judy Daum had a smoking hot putter, using it only 14 times over the nine holes.
In Week 4, Hole 12 saw hole outs from Jan Bashaw and a birdie from Shellon Anderson.
Week 5 saw birdies from Daria Faden on No. 6 and Pattie Klinginsmith on No. 9.
The Week 4 flag prize went to Faden for longest putt for handicap 0-25, and Phyllis Greenwood had the good stroke for handicappers 26-30. And at 31 and up, Alene Schliz won the longest putt flag.
Flag prizes for Week 5 was closest to the pin from off the green handicappers. The 0-25 honors went to Faden, Judy Daum captured it for handicap 26-30, and Charlotta Young put it closest to the pin from off the green in the handicap 31 and up division.
Finally, Klinginsmith, Phyllis Greenwood and Shirley Crossman hit closest to the pin for their third shot in their respective handicaps.
Shellon Anderson had a stellar Week 7, as she shot a 48 for low gross and also had low putts with 16. Jean Barrett was close behind with an excellent 49.
Flag prizes of closest to the pin were won by Daria Faden on No. 4. Jean Barrett and Judy Daum took home the closest to the pin on No. 9, and Jan Bashaw and Sally Plover took the honors on No. 2.
Only one more week of regular golf remains for the women.
The Battle of the Sexes will be Aug. 7, followed by the the Horse Race on the Aug. 14 and the Solheim Cup the following two weeks.
