Observations all along the line - Kimball & the Southern Panhandle First
A Kimball agricultural business has expanded with the purchase of a mobile grain cleaner truck from a Colorado operation.
The local company, Golden Waves LLC of 600 S. Burg St., purchased the truck from Greenbank Inc., a wheat and seed mobile cleaning business out of Morgan, Colo.
Golden Waves owners David Dudney and Kristy Cook acquired the truck after Greenbank owner Milton Greenback decided to retire.
Cook said Golden Waves took the opportunity to continue the mobile cleaning business that Greenbank provided for more than 26 years for customers across Nebraska, Colorado, South Dakota and other areas.
“We are very excited to continue this service to existing and new customers,” Cook said. “Our main service is cleaning wheat, but we also clean triticale, barley and millet, plus any grain that needs to be cleaned.”
The mobile truck provides services at its customers’ locations, runs on its own generator, has its own scales to make travel unnecessary to off-site scales, and can clean up to 900 bushels an hour.
