Observations all along the line - Kimball & the Southern Panhandle First
Mayor Keith Prunty reported at the Jan. 21 Kimball City Council meeting that only about 26 houses are for sale in the area – quite an improvement over times when the market had many more properties for sale.
The market has been holding pretty steady in the Kimball area, according to one person familiar with local real estate trends.
Many homes that have sold in recent months have gone to transplants from the Denver region taking advantage of this area’s low home prices, sales records show.
Looking at the Multiple Listing Service, there are 29 active listings in the Kimball, Dix, Potter and Bushnell area.
Although there is not a big selection compared to some past periods, the listings are sprinkled fairly evenly through different price ranges.
Currently, there are four to five pending sales.
A word to the wise: If you are considering placing your residence on the market, keep your home looking good. The loan process is much easier if the house is in good repair.
