"I am really excited about this opportunity," she said. "I have always enjoyed the Western lifestyle and look forward to meeting people. I am excited to find out how the people of Kimball want to build their community and invest in their community."
Schlake grew up on a small cow/calf operation in Gothenburg and graduated from Hastings College in 2010 with an agriculture-business degree after playing basketball all four years.
Elyse has a variety of experience – from managing a Farm Service Agency to being an insurance supervisor for rain and hail adjusting to being executive director of Kaapa Coop.
She replaces Amy Sapp, who stepped down to take a job in the private sector.
