Observations all along the line - Kimball & the Southern Panhandle First
Good morning! Our world just keeps changing, and getting smaller.
Now the kids are out of school until the First of May, maybe longer. This is quite a challenge for our administration, teacher, and students.
I may be nuts, but as of this moment I feel confident that in the long run all will be well.
Almost everything has been cancelled. As far as I know, a few events are still on the calendar. But please call before you plan to attend since they may be cancelled before this column reaches you.
Tomorrow, Friday, March 27, the Church of Christ at 1919 Avenue N in Scottsbluff will host a free soup dinner beginning at 5:30 p.m.
You also can donate good used medical equipment to the folks at Independence Rising, 308-633-7025.
The community food drive will continue through the 31st of March. You can bring nonperishables to the Kramer Funeral Home located at 3201 Ave. B in Scottsbluff or to Gering Memorial Chapel, 1755 11th Street in Gering.
Last is the Digital Citizenship Classes, which are supposed to take place at the Scottsbluff Leid Library from 10 a.m. until noon.
April Fools Day is fast approaching. I can’t help but wondering who are the biggest fools this year.
Maybe those people still determined to go on spring break?
Maybe those still traveling outside the country?
I am praying that this virus has a cure soon, but in the meantime I will try to stay calm and try to be part of the solution and not part of the problem.
Here are our local birthdays this week: Buford Carter, Peggy Brown Peterson, Richard Browne, Barb Cross, Makyla Mason, Ashner Wyatt, Gracie Muggli, and Breklyn Cross. Happy Happy Birthday!
