That's A Wrap For Women's Golf Association Season

The Kimball Women’s Golf Association concluded their golf season with a dinner at the Sagebrush followed by awards, checks and final standings.

The traditional end of the season “Horse Race” Tournament was won by Klinginsmith/Keeler, Anderson/Robinson placed second, and third and fourth went to Young/Gross and Greenwood/Plover, respectively. The “Horse Race” is a fun, scramble type format but very competitive.

The final singles tournament of the season resulted in Pattie Klinginsmith taking the top spot in the Championship Flight with an outstanding gross score of 91. Phyllis Greenwood captured low net with a 69, followed by 2nd place low net, Shellon Anderson with a 83.

Judy Daum took low gross in the First Flight with a 107, while Franny Haukup shot an 85 low net and Charlotte Young had an 86 low net for 2nd place in the net division.

Winning the finals in league standings were Daum/Evertson (15.00 points), followed by Klinginsmith/Barrett (13.00 points) and Young/Crossman (12.50 points).

The association wants to expand and would like to extend an invitation to new members to participate in the Wednesday evening golf league. If interested, contact president Charlotta Young at 308-235-7341.
