Observations all along the line - Kimball & the Southern Panhandle First
Potter-Dix’s Lady Coyote Volleyball team had a strong start to the season, but has hit a stretch losing eight straight matches, only winning three sets during the run.
The last three losses started on Tuesday Sept. 29 when the Lady Coyotes traveled to Big Springs for a Triangular with South Platte and Bayard. Starting against the Lady Blue Knights, the Potter-Dix squad had a tight battle with South Platte in the first set, but eventually fell 25-to-22.
South Platte stepped it up in the second set, downing the Lady Coyotes 25-to-14 for the straight set victory.
They next squared off against Bayard and forced extra points against the Lady Tigers before falling 26-to-24. Again the Lady Coyotes couldn’t keep the momentum going, and Bayard took the second set 25-to-16.
Potter-Dix had to face South Platte again in Big Springs for non-conference match up, and fell in three straight sets. Potter-Dix looks to get back on the winning track on Tuesday when they were scheduled to host a Triangular against the 3-and-16 Kimball Lady Longhorns and the 6-and-15 Bayard Lady Tigers.
