We have a few events here to mention so I will get right to them. The winters market will take place Saturday, January 2nd at the Monument Mall in Scottsbluff from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. And on the 4th, your used medical equipment may be taken to 1807 Ave. A in Scottsbluff. (Call 633- 7025, Independence Rising)

Nominations for the 2021 Lepold Conservation Award may be submitted on behalf of a land owner or for yourself by application at [email protected] or by mail to Lepold Conservation Award c/o AFAN, 5225 S 16th Street, Lincoln, Nebraska 68512. This $10,000 award will be presented to a farmer or forester who has gone above and beyond in the care of natural resources in some way.

The Alliance for the Future of Agriculture in Nebraska (AFAN) and the Sand County Foundation and national sponsor American Farmland Trust are presenting this award.

As far as school goes, it resumes here the 5th of January, a Tuesday, and there will be a regular day of school on the following Friday, January, 8th.
