Observations all along the line - Kimball & the Southern Panhandle First
Well here we go again, hopefully a better New Year!
School here resumed Tuesday, January 5th. For myself it was nice to have the days a little bit more scheduled for our senior, but not quite as nice for the husband that went off of vacation.
As far as school goes I feel like we are on the downside slide now, hallelujah! School resumed here Tuesday, January 5th, and they will be in regular session this Friday, the 8th.
The high school wrestlers will travel to Garden County Saturday, January 9th for matches beginning at 9 a.m. Safe travel and good luck to all of you during all events.
On Monday, the 11th, the junior varsity boys basketball team will take on Bridgeport here at home. Game time is 5 p.m. and on that same evening there will be a school board meeting at 7 p.m.
District FFA CDE’s will take place at 9 a.m. Wednesday, January 13th.
Birthdays this week include: Brady Lind, Arielle Whelchel Charles Cooper, Gary Beals, Steve Brown, Josh Schmidt, Isabella Yazdgerdi, David Baker and Paula Johnson. Happy Happy Birthday!
Well as we stumble into this new year, things they still are a changin’. Cancellations and more cancellations. Please call before you go ... anywhere! As Jennifer Aniston has said “Don’t make plans, make options.”
There are currently no events in the valley that are scheduled. The Nebraska Western Arts Center is still open as far as I know, and the zoo. Other spots, such as the YMCA, are open with restrictions, so save time and call ahead.
Have a great week, take care until next time, and stay safe!
