Loren David Gotfrey joined his Lord and Savior on January 1, 2021, at the age of 60. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Crossroads Community Church in Pine Bluffs, Wyoming with Pastor Dan DeBruyn officiating. Burial will be held at the Dix, Nebraska Rural Cemetery on a later date. Memorials may be made to The Gotfrey Family.
Loren was the son of Jim and Maida (Spohn) Gotfrey born on July 24, 1960 in Rapid City, South Dakota. He was raised and attended school in Dix, Nebraska. Loren married Debra Bailey on August 14, 1994 and with her came his stepson, Rick. In 2009 his son Loren Chase Gotfrey was born. His sons were his life. He worked for Fornstrom Feed Lot in Pine Bluffs, Wyoming for 26 years before his health forced his early retirement in late 2018.
Loren is survived by his parents, Jim and Maida Gotfrey of Dix, Nebraska; sons, Rick Bailey of San Antonio, Texas, and Loren Chase Gotfrey of Pine Bluffs, Wyoming; brother, Aaron (Kimberly) Gotfrey of Dix, Nebraska; nephews, Jacob Gotfrey and family of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Zacary and Zander Gotfrey of Dix, Nebraska; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Welcoming him to Heaven were his grandparents, Clyde and Helen Gotfrey, Loren and Anna Spohn; brothers, Paul and John; sister, Laura; and nephews, Jared and Leland Gotfrey.
