Dolores L. Harms, 84, of Kimball, died at the Kimball County Manor on Saturday, February 27, 2021. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 5, 2021 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Kimball with Pastor Kenneth Mars officiating. The funeral service will be livestreamed through Wyobraskalcms facebook page. Burial will follow in the Bushnell Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, March 4, 2021 from 1:00 until 6:00 p.m. Friends may also visit http://www.cantrellfh.com to view Dolores's Tribute Wall and leave condolences and stories for the family.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to St. John's Lutheran Church or the Kimball County Manor Employee Fund. The services for Dolores have been entrusted to the Cantrell Funeral Home.
Dolores L. Harms was born in Sidney, Nebraska on May 2, 1936, the daughter of Albert and Laura (Phelps) Brauer. She was baptized into the Lutheran Faith on May 24, 1936 and confirmed on June 4, 1950. She graduated from the Chappell High School and then received her teaching certificate from Chadron College.
Dolores taught grades K-8 for 5 years. Dolores was married to Vernon Harms on April 19, 1959 in Chappell. They lived on the family farm south of Bushnell. Dolores was a fabulous cook and made the best homemade pies. She loved her Savior Jesus Christ, her family, her St. John's Church family and the dedicated staff at the Kimball County Manor.
Survivors include her son Wesley (Tami) Harms of Harrisburg, SD; daughter Candace (Pastor Darrell) Debowey of Laramie, WY; brother Ivan (Joyce) Brauer of Yuma, CO; and grandchildren Ashley (Jared) Baxendale, David (Beth) Debowey, Jon (Hope) Debowey, Jacob Harms and Vandi Bymers.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son Wendell Harms, husband, and brothers Norman, David, Merle and Virgil.
