Observations all along the line - Kimball & the Southern Panhandle First
Good morning Banner County, friends near and far! Beautiful weather just in time for Easter. We still have a little snow piled here and there, but I suspect that the high temperatures and high winds will take care of that.
As far as Easter, our church buildings are open, which is super great and hopefully families will continue to celebrate together.
The zoo in Scottsbluff is hosting Easter egg hunts, Seven of them over a three day period. The first one will be on Friday, April 2nd at 1 p.m. On Saturday and Sunday, the third and fouth hunts will be scheduled at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Your egg hunters will find eggs filled with candy and possibly tickets for other prizes, including four bicycles which have been donated. The regular zoo entry price will be in place.
Banner County School will release its students on Thursday, April 2nd at the regular time, and there will be no school Friday through Monday.
On Tuesday, April 6th the high school track team will be competing in Chappell beginning at 9 a.m. and on the 7th through the 9th, the FFA students will have state competition. As far as I know, this will be virtual.

The SkyView Drive-In in Scottsbluff will be showing the movie “Godzilla vs. Kong” on March 31st, April 3rd, and April 9 -11th. The movie is rated PG.
The Friends of the Gering Library will begin a book and record sale on the 5th of April. The items will be on sale during regular library hours from the 5th through the 17th.
Just as a heads up, the students at Banner County will have a regular day of school on Friday, April 9th.
