Randy H. Harmon, 61, of Kimball, died at Swedish Medical Center in Englewood, Colorado on Saturday, April 10, 2021. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at the Cantrell Funeral Home in Kimball with Pastor Roger Gillming officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date.
Friends may visit http://www.cantrellfh.com to view Randy’s Tribute Wall and leave stories and condolences for the family. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. to sign the register book and leave condolences for the family. Memorials may be given in his memory to the Kimball County Ambulance. The services for Randy have been entrusted to the Cantrell Funeral Home.
Randy Howard Harmon was born in Denver, Colorado on April 23, 1959, the son of William and Barbee (Smith) Harmon. While growing up, his father served in the military and he lived in several places in the United States and England. He graduated from the Sidney High School in 1977. He had a love for all cars and Randy attended WNCC and received a degree in Auto Body Repair. Following graduation he worked for DeMar in Sunol and later Orbit Drilling hauling water.
He was married to Sandy Lancaster in Kimball on October 13, 1984. Randy also worked for Harry Burback at Plains Body Shop in Kimball. His dream was to own his own business and because of his love for antiques, he opened Antique Plaza Mall in 2005.
Randy enjoyed music and owned a large record collection. He enjoyed working on old cars, watching horror movies and documentaries, and doing anything that was odd and different. He was a history buff and enjoyed studying history. He will be missed by the countless people that knew him.
Survivors include his wife Sandy Harmon of Kimball, NE; brothers Royland (Julie) Harmon of Sidney, NE., and Rex (Robin) Harmon of Sturgis, SD; sister Rayvonne (Scott) Dailey of Sidney, NE; nephews Chase and Chance Harmon, Corey and Ty Dailey and Angus Harmon; nieces Jamie LaGrange and Trishia Michael and numerous great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
