Observations all along the line - Kimball & the Southern Panhandle First
Potter-Dix’s Coyote track and field team travelled to Bayard on Saturday to compete at the Bayard C-D Invite. The boys came away with a fifth place result, while the girls placed 14th.
The first-place teams were Burns among the girls and Leyton for the boys.
Medal winners for the boys included senior Javon Coyle taking fourth place in the 100 meters and fifth in the 200 meters, while sophomore Luke Kasten placed sixth in the 400 meters and junior Thomas Muldoon placed fourth in the 800 and 1600 meters.
Junior Jared Anton placed second in the 110 meter hurdles and freshman Brandon Paxton placed fifth in the 300 meter hurdles.
The 4x100 meter relay team placed third, the 4x400 meter relay team placed fifth, and the 4x800 meter relay team placed fourth. Luke Kasten won the high Jump, and Jared Anton placed fourth in the pole vault to round out the scoring.
Medal winners for the girls included the 4x100 and 4x800 meter relay teams placing fifth, and sophomores Jayden Shoemaker and Kylie Fiehtner placing fourth and fifth in the High Jump.
The Coyotes were next scheduled to compete on Monday, April 12, at the Creek Valley Twilight and Friday, April 16, at the Burns Invitational.
