Nebraska Coffee Moving, Expanding

Nebraska Coffee has outgrown its location on Highway 30 and will expand and move to a recently purchased downtown building near the underpass. Owner Hannah Snyder shared with the Observer some pertinent information about her new venture.

"We won't have just one drive-through window," she said. "We'll have two."

During the worst of the COVID-19 crisis, Snyder realized that she needed more room, and there was no way in its present location to expand or grow. So she began looking for a building, and she found what she was looking for at 103 S. Chestnut.

Hannah said her new Nebraska Coffee would have different options and a set menu, mostly homemade items.

The new building will seat 51 people and require her to double her staff. She is hoping for a June opening, but the remodeling project requires installing an industrial/restaurant kitchen and updating the electrical panels.

"I won't leave an empty building in town," Snyder stated, referring to the restaurant's current location.

She said she wasn't ready to explain what she is thinking about doing with the current location.

Next to the current Nebraska Coffee, Snyder also owns and operates Extended Stay, a studio-type lodging establishment that she said is at 98% capacity.
