Observations all along the line - Kimball & the Southern Panhandle First
The following question was submitted for the “Ask the Observer” feature.
Can our community service officer (CSO) do anything about yards not mowed and covered with weeds that damage a neighbor’s yards? Can the officer also do anything about the alleys that are not mowed and doing the same?
This response comes from Kimball Police Chief Andy Bremer:
“Yes, the CSO can write abatements to clean up yards. She was extremely busy doing just that. Amazing how many folks need help mowing their yards.”
The former CSO, Katie Potterf, has left the community.
“We’ll have a new CSO rolling (this week) and will get them back to work asap,” Bremer said.
Bremer also noted that the CSO takes a lot of training to realize and understand how to deal with neighborhood issues.
