Longhorns Golfer Shoots Low Score In Women’s League
Week three for the Women’s Golf Association brought Payton Wise to the league as a substitute, and she shot the low gross of 41 on the front nine.
Wise, the Kimball Longhors golf star, will be aiming to return to State with her teammates when the fall season gets under way in a couple of months.The upcoming senior has medaled at State each of her first three seasons.
Nora Robinson and Donna Linn tied for low net, with each recording a 30. Shellon Anderson’s putting was on the mark as she only needed her putter 13 times.
Three hole-outs occurred: Charlotta Young on number 15 and Phyllis Greenwood on number 2, both for birdies. Sally Plover holed out on number 3.
Pattie Klinginsmith was back on top with low gross of 47 for week four, followed by Susie Abramson with a low net of 33. Low putts was claimed by Jodi Keeler with 16. The women played the back nine with the format stroke play.
Once again, three members holed out in week four: Carmela Harms and Jodi Keeler, both on number 15, and Donna Linn on number 12.
Closest to the Flag from off the Green was seized by Katie Heeg, Jodi Keeler, and Susie Abramson.
