Wm. J. Pinkley, 76, of Kimball, died at the Kimball County Manor on Saturday, Sept. 11, 2021. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 20, 2021, at the Cantrell Funeral Home in Kimball with Pastor Roger Gillming officiating. Friends may visit http://www.cantrellfh.com to express their condolences and share stories with the family. Memorials have been established to the family. The services for Wm. have been entrusted to the Cantrell Funeral Home.
Wm. John Pinkley was born in Greeley, Colorado on October 29, 1944, the son of Frank and Vinnie (Hill) Pinkley. He was raised and attended school in Cheyenne. Following high school Wm. Went to work for the city of Cheyenne in the water department. This was a job he had for about 25 years. In 1992, he went to work driving a pilot car escorting oversized loads. This was a job he really enjoyed.
He loved hunting, fishing and camping. His family was important to him and he enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. Watching westerns, especially John Wayne westerns, was a favorite pastime.
Survivors include his wife Debe Pinkley of Kimball, NE; daughters Hollie (Fred) Levias of Kimball, NE., and Wendy Cooper of Cheyenne, WY; stepson Bryon (Tracy) Walker of Cheyenne, WY; brothers Frank Pinkley of Cheyenne, WY., and James Pinkley of Harrison, AK; sister Jan Garding of Phoenix, AZ; 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Trichelle Pinkley, sister Irene Cheaney and stepson Jonathan Walker.
