Kimball Junior High Wrestlers Showing Promise

Kimball Junior High wrestlers put in some competitive performances back-to-back in tournaments at Hemingford on Nov. 12 and Morrill on Nov. 27.

A number of young Longhorns earned first place. Here they are.

Morrill

91-96: Ryker Behrend, 22 team points. He won by decision over teammate Trey Cook, 7-0, in the first place match.

126-135: Braxton Miller, 24 team points. He won by fall in 1:43 over Andrew Smith of Banner County in the first place match.

Hemingford

87-95: Trey Cook, 19 team points. He won by fall in 0:30 over Gabe Collier of Banner County in his Round 3 match.

91-97: Ryker Behrend, 20 team points. He won by fall in 0:40 over Zack Jeffords of Bridgeport in his Round 3 match.

91-100: Cameron McGinnis, 16 team points. He won by decision, 5-4, over Gavin Cheek of Mitchell in his Round 3 match.

109-111: Tevor Fuss, 17 team points. He won by major decision, 10-1, over Ayden Swiggum of Gordon-Rushville in his Round 3 match.

Next up for Kimball was a trip to Grant on Nov. 23 this week and then on to Bayard on Nov. 30 and Mitchell on Dec. 6.
