Longhorns End Season At State

Schindler Finishes In Top 8; Johnson And McGinnis Notch Wins

Four Kimball Longhorns completed their seasons at state wrestling on Friday.

Three out of the four Longhorns secured wins at the state tournament.

Trey Schindler at 152 was able to finish in the final 8 at state. He lost in a 1-point match in the third round consolation match to be eliminated from the bracket Friday night.

Matthew Johnson at 106 and James McGinnis at 132 each won one match in the tournament. Cody Brinkman was 0-2 at 120.

Each opponent that Kimball lost to in the tournament went on to be state placers.

Kimball finished in 47th place with 8.0 team points.

Sutherland was the class D team champion.
