Lois A. James

Lois A. James, 78, a longtime Kimball resident, died at the Kimball County Manor on Saturday, March 19, 2022. Funeral services for Lois will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at the Kimball Presbyterian Church with Pastor Alan Foutz officiating. Burial will be held in the Dix Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 3:00 until 6:00 p.m.

Friends may visit http://www.cantrellfh.com to leave condolences and share stories with the family. Memorials may be given in memory of Lois to the Kimball Presbyterian Church or the Kimball County Manor. The services for Lois have been entrusted to the Cantrell Funeral Home.

Lois Ann James was born in Stockton, California on May 18, 1943, the daughter of George and Edith (Rowan) Zimmerman.

While growing up, Lois lived in many different cities in the United States. She graduated in 1961 from the Littleton High School in Littleton, Colorado.

Following graduation, Lois was married and Lisa and Robert were born. She moved to Kimball in 1970 and in 1981 she went to work for Halliburton, then Orbit Drilling and later Antelope Production. Lois was married to Rod James on December 5, 1987.

She loved being involved with her church, and was a member of the Young Wives Extension Club. She loved all animals, especially horses. Lois spent many hours training and showing horses.

She loved her family dearly, and was a caregiver to many. She was a member of the Kimball Presbyterian Church and had a strong faith in the Lord. She loved to travel and enjoyed her trip to Germany and many throughout the United States.

Survivors include her husband Rod James of Kimball, NE; son Robert (Judi) Ring of Ault, CO; daughter Lisa (Steve) Richter of Pine Haven, WY., and Shelly (Dave) Norberg of Bushnell, NE; brother Don (Corina) Zimmerman of Rioudosa, NM; grandchildren Siera (Zeke) Juhala, Colton Richter, Savanah (Zane) Allee, Jack Ring and Regan Ring; and great grandchildren Rain and Knoxly Juhala.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son Tim James and great grandson Kash Juhala.
