Observations all along the line - Kimball & the Southern Panhandle First
Amanda Culek, the new principal for Mary Lynch Elementary School next year, provided these comments to the Observer after she was hired.
“I am very humbled and honored to have been selected as the new Elementary Principal for Kimball Public Schools. The 2021-2022 school year marks my 15th year in education. I have served both the Kimball Public School System for 12 years and Laramie County School District #2 for three. Eight of my 15 years have been spent as a classroom teacher working with 2nd and 3rd-grade students. I spent five years working as a reading specialist and helping students in kindergarten to sixth grades
“In addition, I have worked as a special education teacher serving students in 4th – 6th grade for the last two years. During my time as an educator, I have served on numerous leadership committees. I have helped implement new initiatives to improve student achievement. My educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education with an endorsement in English as a Second Language and a Master of Arts in Education in School Principalship PK-8 from the University of Nebraska at Kearney. I will also be adding a Special Education Endorsement to my certificate at the end of the spring semester. I am excited to bring my knowledge, expertise, and experience back to the Kimball community to help provide a positive leadership role within the school setting.
“In addition to my role as an educator, I am, first and foremost, a mother and wife. My daughter, Brynlee, is currently a 3rd grader that already has strong ties to the Kimball community. She loves competing as a member of the Kimball Cobras tumbling team. She has also maintained connections with many friends through her involvement in church and other sporting activities. My husband, Charlie, also has strong ties to the family business and continues to be a huge support system. We look forward to becoming Longhorns again!!!
“To the community and school staff, I am looking forward to the new school year! I firmly believe in providing a welcoming and caring environment that builds confidence within our students and partnerships with their families. To my future students, I can’t wait to join you at Mary Lynch Elementary next year! I hope you are excited about the upcoming school year and all the fantastic things we will accomplish.”
