Observations all along the line - Kimball & the Southern Panhandle First

RACE FOR THE 48TH

Candidates Hoping To Represent This Area Answer Observer Questions

The 48th District of the Nebraska Unicameral now includes Kimball, Banner and Scotts Bluff counties due to redistricting.

The 48th seat is currently held by John Stinner, but he will term out at the end of this year. So this year, 24 of the even-numbered seats among the 49 legislative districts of the Unicameral will elect representatives.

Due to redistricting, Sen. Steve Erdman no longer will represent this area.

Following are responses to Observer questions from the five candidates looking to fill the seat. They are being run in alphabetical order of their last names.

The winner of the May 10 primary will determine the victor.

How long have you lived in this district   my entire life

Briefly describe the important issues facing the district, Unicameral and the State of Nebraska in the next few years?

We have to address the "Social Emotional Learning"/CRT/any other acronym they come up with so we can protect our children & their innocents.

Another thing nobody understands is coming is the ESG scoring from the large banks and the Fed and the digital dollar - both need to be stopped to protect the citizens of Nebraska.

There needs to be legislation to abolish mask/vaccine mandates as well as many other things.

We need to eliminate "Civil Asset Forfeiture".

If the Legislature won't vote it in, we need a petition drive to get the EPIC tax on the ballot so we can get a consumption tax INSTEAD of property/income/inheritence/business taxes

Our election needs to be secured with smaller precincts, paper ballots, hand counting at the precincts and scans of every ballot with unique identifiers on each ballot. No electronic counting.

I would like to get Constitutional Carry (for every US citizen) & Stand Your Ground/Castle Doctrine legislation in to protect every citizen.

We really need a petition drive to have the citizens vote on a Constitutional Amendment to get rid of the Unicameral and add a Senate so there are checks and balances. One Senator from each county would help better represent the small population areas and give us back an equal voice (as they keep taking legislative districts away and giving them to Omaha and Lincoln.

How would you compare yourself politically to our current Unicameral Senator Steve Erdman?

I would say I have very similar views on many items I am, in fact going down to the floor debate on Tuesday 4/5/22 to support the EPIC tax (to abolish property/income/inheritance/business taxes). I often have very similar thoughts to what he says in discussions on bills.
