Good morning, Harrisburg, friends and family near and far. May is going out the door and June is slipping in.
I sure don’t know where the time has gone. I know for certain that for me it is not because I am having a good time.
We are looking at Memorial Day this weekend. Our loved ones will be remembered, specifically missed every day. However there will also be picnics, BBQs, and special family/friend gatherings, so safe travel to all.
Remember this quote by Helen Keller “ Keep your face to the sunshine and you cannot see a shadow.”
The Riverside Discovery Center is celebrating the Memorial Day weekend with summer hours and a summer kickoff on Monday, May 30th from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.The splash pad will be open weather permitting.
The SkyView drive-in will be showing ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ May 26-29.
Also on the 27th is the date of the annual beef BBQ Benefit for Camp Scott. They will have a drive-through set up at 1928 E Portal Place in Scottsbluff from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. All benefits will go toward kids with disabilities.
May 28th the Gering Pool officially opens and we will know for sure summer is on it’s way!
Here is just a little heads up.. The free summer movie series will start at the Midwest with “Minions” on June 2. Time is 1:30 p.m.
