Observations all along the line - Kimball & the Southern Panhandle First
The Kimball Women’s Golf Association league play has three more weeks to complete its regular season.
On July 13, Week 7 was match play on the front nine, with Shellon Anderson taking home the winning honors with a 47.
Phyllis Greenwood earned the top net score with a 34, and both Nora Robinson and Sally Plover won the least putts with 15.
Flag prizes in their respective handicap were won by Phyllis Greenwood, Sally Plover, and Laura Noah.
Payton Wise shot a 43 in Week 8 to take home bragging rights. Stroke play on the back nine helped Daria Anderson-Faden shoot a net of 36.
Tying for low putts were Laura Hall and Pattie Klinginsmith, with 15 putts each. Flag prize winners were Donna Loyd and Charlotta Young.
Match play on the front nine was the name of the game in Week 9 on July 27. An outstanding score of 37 by Payton Wise won her the gross and net scores. Her net score was 32. Both Judy Daum and Laura Hall had 15 putts, and flag prizes were won by Jen Wise, Jan Bashaw and Judy Daum.
The Aug. 3 outing for the Kimball Women’s Golf Association will be stroke play on the back nine.
Aug. 24 will be the Horserace, followed by August 31 with the Battle of the Sexes.
