Dennis Lee Stricker

Dennis Lee Stricker, of Gering Nebraska, died peacefully August 2, 2022, at the age of 69, after a brief battle of pancreatic cancer in Ft. Collins at UCHealth Poudre Valley Hospital. Dennis was born on April 11, 1953, to Charles and Anna Stricker in Torrington, Wyoming, where he also graduated high school in 1971.

Dennis married Lucinda Allbee in 1972 in Torrington. From that union their daughter Amy was born in 1973. Amy married Nicholas Williams in 1996 and has four sons Alec (Kala), Aric, Nathan and Noah.

Dennis spent over four decades in the farm equipment sales industry working for Case Power and Equipment, HorizonWest, and Titan until his retirement. He enjoyed his career and serving the many local community farmers with their farm equipment needs.

When Dennis was not in office or in the field, he enjoyed spending a couple afternoons a week and most weekends golfing with friends. Dennis and Chris also enjoyed golfing, grilling, and cruising in the Corvette. Dennis loved being involved in her family’s activities and gatherings. Dennis loved spending time with Amy, Nick, and his grandsons in Pierre. He spent many hours traveling to watch all four of his grandsons’ sports events over the past 20 years. Dennis’ oldest grandson Alec and his wife, Kala, are expecting Dennis’s first great-grandson in September. Something he truly was looking forward to.

Dennis made a great impact in so many friends’ and families’ lives. He was a very respected father, grandfather, and friend who will be truly missed by all that knew him.

Dennis is preceded in death by his father, Charles, his mother, Anna and brother in law Jim Lyons. He is survived by daughter, Amy, his sister Janice (Jim) Lyons of Judith Gap Montana, his brother Larry (Judy) Stricker of Chester Virginia, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, and special friend Chris Schwartzkopf of Gering.

Memorial services will be at Gering Zion Church with Pastor Tim Hebbert officiating Friday August 12 at 1 p.m. with a luncheon to follow. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at http://www.dugankramer.com for the Stricker family.
