Investigation Ends At Site Of Family Dollar

According to the Nebraska Department of Environment and Energy, the site of 511 W. 3rd Street in Kimball passed a Tier 1 investigation. This appears to remove an environmental obstacle to the long delayed opening there of the Family Dollar/Dollar Tree store.

Owen Lasswell, a public information officer, told the Observer that “NDEE issued no further action letters, and the department’s investigation has been closed.”

Meanwhile, Kimball store #13191 at 511 3rd Street shows no signs of obtaining inventory or opening at the moment.
