Good morning, here is hoping that your week is going well.
With Veterans Day behind us, we are looking toward Thanksgiving. But until then ....today, November 17th. there is a “Veteran’s Hiring Event” taking place from 1-3 p.m. at the Healthy Blue Office in Scottsbluff. This is located at 2621 5th Avenue and if you are in need of more information, e-mail [email protected].
The annual EWC Dog Wash will be held on the 17th also, between 8 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. The students at the school involved will have a table set up in the north entrance of the Veterinary Technology building, weather permitting. Otherwise they will be inside at 3200 West C Street.
Thankfully elections are over. At least for awhile, and actually other than having them over with, I am also thankful that we live in a country where we have the freedom to vote.
For a little entertainment, the Midwest Theater will show the first two episodes of season 3 of “The Chosen” at 7:30 p.m. on the 18th & 19th and at 1:30 p.m. on the 20th.
Here in the Burg today, Thursday, November 17th, the One Act students will have their first competition of the year as they compete in Minatare.
Friday, the junior high wrestling team will also travel as they head to Morrill and take to the mats at 9 a.m. School will be in session on this date.
On Tuesday, November 22nd. the junior high boys basketball team will compete here at home. The opponent is Scottsbluff and game time is 3:30 p.m. Safe travel and good luck to all of you.
Thanksgiving is the 24th. and we wish everyone a blessed holiday. We have much to be thankful for, past and present.
The school will begin Thanksgiving break on the 23rd and school will resume on the 27th. The Harrisburg Community Church will host the annual Harvest Dinner on Sunday November 20th at 6 p.m. Everyone is welcome.
