Veronica F. Staab, 91, of Kimball, died at the Kimball County Manor on Tuesday, January 17, 2023. Rosary Service will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, January 26, 2023 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Kimball, Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. following the Rosary. The livestream of the funeral can be viewed on the Cantrell Funeral Home Facebook page. Veronica Francis Staab was born in Iliff, Colorado on April 25, 1931, the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Herschfeld) Gretner. She was raised and attended school in Iliff. She helped her parents on the family farm in Iliff.
Veronica was united in marriage to Edmund Joseph Staab on April 10, 1950. She worked as a homemaker taking care of her family of four.
She enjoyed crafts and making cards by hand for special people in her life and spending time with her family and friends. Veronica always enjoyed playing cards, her favorite card game was solitaire. She will be missed by her family and friends.
Survivors include her son Chad Staab of Kimball, NE; daughters Sandy Weltz of Potter, NE., and Pam (Ken) Noram of Walnut Grove, MN; grandchildren Steve (Karen) Bates and Tim (Sandy) Bates both of Ohio, Jim (Jane) Weltz, John (Melonie) Weltz and Shannon (Roger) Monheiser all of Nebraska, Diana (Randy) Frost of Missouri, Sheila Scheel of Minnesota and Bryan (Rikki) Hahn of North Dakota; 13 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, her son Eddie, 7 sisters and 1 brother.
