Diana C. Engstrom, 68, of Kimball, died at SRMC in Sidney on Thursday, March 2, 2023.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at the First English Lutheran Church in Kimball with Pastor Marilyn Engstrom officiating. Burial will be held in the Kimball Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 1:00 until 6:00 p.m. Memorial may be given in Diana's memory to the First English Lutheran Church in Kimball.

Diana Christine Engstrom was born in Kimball on October 25, 1954, the daughter of Donald and Elizabeth (Janesofsky) Shandera. She attended Kimball County High School and graduated in 1972. Following graduation she attended WNCC and received her Associates in Business, and she completed the Para-Legal Program and later completed courses in Real Estate and became a licensed salesperson. She went to work for the State of Wyoming on the Governor's Planning Committee on Criminal Administration and then later moved back to Kimball and went to work for the American National Bank.
While working at the bank she met Larry Engstrom and through social gatherings and acquaintances they were engaged and then married on May 3, 1980. Diana worked for the Huenergardt Law, Neilan Law and then Ellison-Kavorik and Turman Law for over 40 years.
She was grateful for being raised on a farm, with all of the livestock, work and family time. She also helped Larry with the operation of Engstrom Farms, providing support during harvest and also with many of the daily chores. She loved spending time with family for Sunday Dinners, Christmas and many other gatherings. She enjoyed baking, cooking, dancing and reading. Diana always enjoyed shopping trips with her granddaughter Emma. She always supported her kids in their sporting and 4-H activities.
Diana and Larry sponsored many trips for the Lodgepole Valley Livestock Club, including trips to the Brown Wool Factory in Mitchell, Lloyds Dairy in Pine Bluffs, WY and the packing plant in Brush and trips to the Nebraska State Fair.
She was involved with the First English Lutheran Church; Eagle's Auxiliary; Kimball Ambassadors; Farmers Day Committee; Home Extension Club and a 4-H Leader. Diana was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
Survivors include her husband Larry Engstrom of Kimball; sons Lars Engstrom and girlfriend Kelly Pottorff., and Alex Engstrom, all of Kimball, NE; brother Gary (Julie) Shandera of Pine Bluffs ,. WY; sisters Carol (Dennis) Lukassen of Kimball., Donna Woitaszewski of Cheyenne, WY., Connie Colton of Bismark, ND., and Geri (Jay) Parson of Lincoln, NE; and granddaughter Emma Engstrom.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
